This activity was designed for young children in school readiness and early development programs. It encourages color recognition, fine motor skills, and creativity.
Children used yellow paper plates (or cut circles) to represent the sun, then created rainbows flowing from the bottom using glued strips of colored paper. This simple yet joyful project also allowed us to explore feelings, weather, and the concept of warmth and brightness in a safe, hands-on way.
